2 years hidden

Speaking of things getting buried in the hard drive. These are some shots from a trip too Germany that I never really did anything with.

Nightlife artist statement.

I just re-read the artist statement for my alt project and before I burry it in the hard drive figured it was worth posting.

Again you find yourself standing in line to enter another crowded, sweaty bar. You continually catch yourself waving to people you recognize on the way in but these people aren’t your friends, where else have you seen them? Likewise, You recognize the songs coming from inside but much like the people your having trouble putting a name to it. It’s all to familiar, Its come to the point where you can even narrow tonight’s outcome down to a select few scenarios, one of which includes going home right now. But what’s the best possible scenario there? That seems hardly worth it.
You begin to realize your going back to the playground, a playground where the schoolyard flirts can relive their glory days and the high school class clown gets a chance to remind themselves of who they once were. The playground where a lifelong introvert has the shot to be the center of attention while a regular socialite can find him-self alone in a room of hundreds. A place where lifelong friends can become temporary enemies while new acquaintances quickly become lifelong lovers, pretty much a place where the term “lifelong” becomes very relative.
Its a place where a lifetime of emotion is shed in a matter of minutes while an entirely falsified past can come to fruition in much less time all for the sake of impressing someone you more then likely will forget about in the morning. Its a place where childish cries for help easily gets written off as drunken buffoonery while rum soaked ramblings often get embraced as life changing philosophies.
But all of this is just something you might see tonight. Turning around and going home is still on the table.
